This project is the redesign of the Good Architecture Office front porch. Instead of simply replacing the dated, dilapidated, columns the designers recalled Thomas Jefferson in creating lattice scrim walls to shield the entrance to the office from the harsh westward setting sun. Ipe lattice panels were created and raised into place between traditionally detailed beveled wood columns, greatly reducing heat gain during the day creating a jewel box affect at night.
